MARIE TUHART received the Angela Knight Service Aw

MARIE TUHART received the Angela Knight Service Award, recognizing her contributions of time, knowledge, and talents to Passionate Ink.

Marie writes spunky women who take approachable—yet problematic—alpha heroes. It's not a stretch to imagine that her female characters have a bit of her own personality in them, because if you know Marie, you know she is a talented and feisty go-getter herself.

As one of the founding members of Passionate Ink, Marie Tuhart was active in the organization's separation from the Romance Writers of America in 2005. Since then, she's served in numerous positions on the Board. Most recently, she served as the Secretary, a role she held for three consecutive years. Even after stepping back formally, she continues assisting in project-based capacities.

Marie has judged the Plume competition every year since its inception, and she is always ready to step in to fill gaps or to take extra assignments at the last minute. For the past four years, Marie has also contributed her time, energy, and talent to the anthology.

While "Marie has never been one to seek the spotlight", she has been a "stabilizing force" that has contributed "to the success of the organization in many critical ways."

Marie Tuhart has earned the Angela Knight Service Award for the spunky main-character energy she's brought for 20 years to create and maintain the vibrancy and dynamism of Passionate Ink.

The award honors the contributions of Angela Knight, one of the founding members of this sexy, non-profit writing organization. It is presented for outstanding level of service and commitment to Passionate Ink’s membership and mission, which is to educate erotic fiction writers by offering a safe place to exchange resources, develop craft, network, support and encourage each other, and to educate others about the different sub-genres, styles, and heat levels within erotic fiction.
