Metaphor, Word Choice, and Thesaurus Wrangling with Megan Landon, September 30th at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT
Join us for Metaphor, Word Choice, and Thesaurus Wrangling on September 30th at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. This workshop is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
You’ve read the books on writing, attended the workshops on crafting, and learned the value of trimming excess words and simplifying descriptions. This workshop takes that knowledge further.
Join Megan Landon as she applies common writing tips to craft prose that enhances our stories, rather than distracts from them. Together, we’ll practice creating evocative metaphors and wringing specificity from our thesauruses to strengthen character, atmosphere, and voice.
This workshop is $10 for members; $20 for non-members.
If you have an example of a tricky word or concept that you’d like to work on with the group, click here to submit it. We’ll put a few submissions under our collective wordnerd-a-scope.
