Join Passionate Ink for our “The Bisexual Male: Facts, Myths, and Representation in Erotic Fiction” workshop with author Christian Pan on February 27, 2025 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
Accord
ing to a 2024 Gallup poll of American adults, more than 57% of the entire LGBTQ+ community identifies as bisexual. And yet, myths and stereotypes persist about bisexuality and bi+ people in and outside the queer community, within our public discourse, in our fictional narratives. What are some of the misrepresentations surrounding the bisexual male in particular, and how can we begin to write bi+ characters in our erotic fiction with greater accuracy, dynamism, and complexity? Using a combination of discussion, fact-based research, examination of fictional texts, and writing exercises, author Christian Pan will share some tools and ways of thinking about (male) bisexual representation in one´s creative writing.
