Bestselling author J.M. Dabney will present on “Queer, Nonbinary and Trans Representation in Literature” Wednesday, June 26th at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, which will be recorded for registrants who cannot attend the live presentation. In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The basics of Gender versus Gender Identity, including gendered versus non-gendered presentations, the concepts of Intersex versus Endosex, the intersectionality of Trans and Intersex, and the use of the prefix “Cis”.
  • How best to employ characters’ Pronouns and Neo-Pronouns.
  • The essential writing processes, such as using sensitivity readers, to ensure respectful presentation of Queer, Nonbinary and Trans characters.
  • The author’s personal experiences as a Queer, Nonbinary Writer of Fat Positive Romance.
