Falling Hard is Soaring
Yesterday, the 2021 Passionate Ink anthology, Falling Hard went live. And tonight we celebrate!
The anthology has already done so well because of the efforts of all the Passionate Ink members. The board supported this project financially and said “yes” to every request. Ashley Bostock coordinated the editing with Red Adept Publishing. Leslie Noyes created all the official PI graphics, the outstanding cover, and even sourced the necklace that we will be giving away tonight. And just in case I haven’t sung her praises loud enough, the paperback cover loaded into Amazon on the first try with zero issues. Raisa Greywood did a tremendous job formatting the book, no small task with seven manuscripts, and even provided a tutorial on how to submit a paperback.
But that was the ultimate point of this project, besides supporting ProLiteracy. Passionate Ink is at its heart a collective of authors supporting authors. Sharing knowledge. Standing together in an industry where it is so easy to be isolated. Seven of our members, supported by the entire group, created, collaborated, and learned.
We have two debut authors in this collection. These authors got to take their manuscripts from an idea to a product with the support of Passionate Ink. I learned more about release marketing and print books than I could have in a year of seminars. I think every author who participated learned at least one new trick.
We have a lot to celebrate tonight. I hope you’ll join the authors and their special Passionate Ink guests: Darynda Jones, Kilby Blades, Ashley Bostock, and Raisa Greywood.
Thank you for making this possible.
Hugs,
Jordyn
