Naughty Night Before Christmas

Written by members of Passionate Ink RWA

Aurora Logan glanced at the clock on the far wall of the locker room. 10:30pm. Sighing, she stood up and slipped her arms into her secondhand jacket. Shouldering her bag, she prepared to head home, not relishing the thought of spending Christmas Eve in her cold, lonely apartment, but that seemed to be her lot in life lately. Especially the alone part.

Resigned, she headed toward the door. If she stayed any longer, the security guards would start hitting on her again. Looking down at the skimpy elf outfit she wore beneath her coat she didn’t have to wonder why. She opened the door and promptly walked into a warm, solid wall of muscle. Glancing up, she was surprised to find Nicholas Santos with his hand on the doorknob. Gone were his snowy white wig and beard and the bright red Santa suit with all its padding. Instead, she was greeted with the sight of him in skintight jeans, a black T-shirt, and black leather jacket. His brown hair looked like he’d just slid from the bed of his lover where she’d repeatedly run her hands through those silky locks.

A slow grin spread across his face, crinkling the edges of his brilliant blue eyes. “I was hoping to catch you before you left, Aurora.” He stepped into the room, forcing her to stumble backward, and shut the door behind him. He quickly closed the distance between them. “I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas.” Plunging his hands into her hair, he tilted her head back and asked, “Have you been a good girl?”

She smiled slowly up at him and said, “No. As a matter of fact, I’ve been rather naughty.”

“I’m very happy to hear that.” Nick leaned down until his mouth hovered achingly close, his peppermint breath caressing her lips. “You know what happens to naughty girls at Christmas, right?”

Aurora felt a surge of erotic heat dance down her spine as she lifted her lashes to meet Nicholas’s sexy dark eyes. “They get punished by a ravishingly handsome elf?”

“They do, indeed, get punished.” His lips skimmed over hers with every whispered word. “And this elf can be quite creative with candy canes and ribbon.”

“You better watch out and you better not cry, Mr. Elf.” Aurora teased him back. “But you can do all the shouting you want when I get you unwrapped.” She reached for his belt buckle.

Nick’s hand covered hers and he said with a chuckle, “Patience, Aurora. We have to take a ride before you can play with my toys.”

Bringing his hand to her lips she whispers, “And where will this ride take us?” Her eyes twinkle with mischief as she put his fingers to her mouth nipping them with her teeth.

“Hopefully all the way to my pole.”

Aurora raised an eyebrow. “Your pole, huh?”

“Yeah. So, you coming?”

“I don’t know. Am I?”

“Oh, yeah. If I have anything to say about it you’ll come until you don’t know your own name.”

Or I forget about the rest of my miserable life…

Aurora was many things, but stupid wasn’t amongst them. If this totally smokin’ guy wanted to fuck her, she’d let him. At least it would be better than going home and crying over another watching of Miracle on 34th Street.

“Hmm, that sounds like a challenge.”

“What if it is?” Nicholas asked before trailing his mouth over her jaw to her ear and lightly tugging on her lobe with his teeth.

“I like challenges.”

“Then bring it on. Let’s go.”

He ushered her to a newer-model sedan and she wondered why he was working a crappy job as a mall Santa when he had a ride like this. One thing was for sure, it was a hell of a lot better than the smelly bus she would’ve taken home if Nicholas hadn’t shown up when he did. Glancing at her, he cranked up the heat and Aurora settled back into the comfortable seat for the ride to wherever Nicholas was taking her.

For all she knew, he could be some serial killer intent on making her his next victim, but since she’d heard him on the phone with someone who from the conversations sounded like his mom and his sister, she doubted it. That would be a pretty elaborate ruse just to gain her trust. Besides, she’d never seen anyone with so much patience with small children, so how bad could he be? Even through being peed on, screamed at, and all the multitude of horrors a mall Santa faced, he kept a smile on his face and handled everything with grace. Aurora knew to her marrow that she was in good hands.

And speaking of good hands, watching his hands on the steering wheel made her think of them on her body, touching her. He drove with casual ease, his strong hand with long fingers relaxed on the wheel and she imagined his fingertips on her skin, his palms holding her curves. Her insides gave a warm squeeze and her body tingled.

“Where are we going?” she asked.

He smiled. “You’ll see.”

He drove to the outskirts of town and even though Aurora trusted her instincts, she began to wonder what she was doing there in this car with a stranger. When he turned off the main road and onto a dark, narrow street, her heart gave a bump. But then she saw the lights ahead and realized where they were…
